What we collect

When you use Start Here, request an evaluation, or ask to talk with ATP, we collect what you type: your name, email, mobile number, how you would like to work with ATP, and your answers about what you are trying to solve. Nothing is collected until you choose to send it.

Like most websites, we also collect standard usage information such as pages visited, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived here. This helps us understand what people find useful and where the site falls short.

How we use it

To prepare for your evaluation, match you with the right clinician or coach, follow up on your request, and answer your questions. If you agree to texts, we text you about your evaluation. If you agree to email, we email you about it. You can stop either at any time by replying, or by contacting us.

We do not sell your information. What you type into our forms is never sent to advertisers. Advertising platforms hear about your visit only if you choose "Allow" in the cookie notice, as described under Services we use.

Text messages

We text you only if you check the box that asks for it. Those texts are about your request: a reply to what you sent, times you can book, confirmations and reminders for an appointment, and a link to finish intake paperwork. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to end texts, or HELP for help; you can also call or email us.

Your consent to texts is separate from consent to calls or email and is never a condition of working with ATP. Mobile numbers and text consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The full text-message terms are in our Terms of Use at /terms.

Where it goes

Your request is stored in our customer relationship system so the person following up has what you told us. Scheduling, if you choose to book a time, happens in our practice management system. Both are reputable, access-controlled services used widely in healthcare and sports performance.

Anything you share during an evaluation or treatment is handled as a clinical record under the standards that apply to a licensed practice. This website is the front door. Your medical record lives in the clinic, under clinical standards.

Services we use

HubSpot holds your request and our follow-up notes (our customer relationship system). Jane is our practice management and scheduling system; if you pick a time, that happens there. Both are access-controlled and used widely in healthcare.

Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits to this site: pages visited and buttons pressed, never your form answers. It runs on every visit and this site has no switch for it; you can block it in your own browser, for example with Google's opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (heat maps and session replays with typed text masked), and advertising pixels from Meta, X and Reddit load only if you choose "Allow" in the cookie notice ("Privacy choices" at the bottom of any page reopens it), so we can show ATP to people who visited this site. If you chose "Allow" and then send us a form, our server also tells Meta that a request was made and which topic it was about, and later whether an evaluation was booked; it sends your browser's details and Meta's own cookie, never what you typed. Without "Allow" none of that is sent. Vercel, which hosts this site, counts page loads and measures page speed without cookies. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode, which checks that a submission comes from a person; Cloudflare's handling of that check is described in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum at https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/. This site sets its own cookies: atp_exp, which remembers which version of a page you saw, and atp_ads, which records that you chose "Allow". Google Analytics sets cookies on every visit (their names start with _ga), and after "Allow" the advertising and recording tools set theirs. The site also uses your browser's session storage to keep your Start Here answers on your own device until you close the tab.

Some pages show a clip from ATP's Instagram. Only its cover image loads with the page; Instagram's player, and Instagram's own cookies, load only if you press play.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below and we will respond. Start Here is an educational preview, not a diagnosis, and you can leave it at any point without sending anything.

Children

Many of the athletes we work with are under 18. When a parent or guardian completes a form for their child, we treat the information as the parent's submission and follow up with the parent.
